We are continually seeking experienced educators and administrators to work on a temporary basis as professional scorers.
All scoring activities are being conducted remotely, except for the Braille scorers who would utilize the regional scoring facility located in San Antonio, Texas. Our experienced staff will provide thorough on-the-job training in our virtual scoring platform to help ensure your success in this stimulating and challenging line of work.

Bilingual Target Language Proficiency Test (BTLPT) Spanish Requirements
Applicants must meet all of the following:
- Have at least three years of experience teaching in a bilingual Spanish classroom in the state of Texas
- Have taught in a bilingual Spanish classroom in the state of Texas within the past three years
- Reside in the state of Texas
- Hold a bachelor's degree
- Comply with the ethical obligations under §SBEC 230.21 (g) including, but not limited to:
- An educator, candidate, or other test taker shall not:
- solicit information about the contents of test items on an examination that the educator, candidate, or other test taker has not already taken from an individual who has had access to those items, or offer information about the contents of specific test items on an examination to individuals who have not yet taken the examination; or

- Be an EPP faculty member of a program, approved by the state of Texas, that offers Bilingual teacher certification programs
- Be an EPP faculty member teaching courses, approved by the state of Texas, for Bilingual teacher certification
- Be an educator who has scored the Bilingual Target Language Proficiency Test (BTLPT) Spanish exam within the past 3 years

Braille Requirements
Applicants must meet all of the following:
- Reside in the state of Texas
- Have demonstrated experience with, and proficiency in, UEB and be able to score Nemeth Code transcription
- Comply with the ethical obligations under §SBEC 230.21 (g) including, but not limited to:
- An educator, candidate, or other test taker shall not:
- solicit information about the contents of test items on an examination that the educator, candidate, or other test taker has not already taken from an individual who has had access to those items, or offer information about the contents of specific test items on an examination to individuals who have not yet taken the examination; or
- otherwise engage in conduct that amounts to violations of test security or confidentiality integrity, including cheating, deception, or fraud.
- Agree to NOT:
- use training/experience as a scorer to receive compensation for any work in test preparation related to this assessment
- take the Braille (283) exam within 180 days of scoring
It is preferred that applicants have Library of Congress certification in Braille.

English Language Arts and Reading 7–12 Requirements
Applicants must meet all of the following:
- Have at least three years of experience teaching in English Language Arts and Reading in the state of Texas
- Have taught English Language Arts and Reading related courses in a state of Texas classroom within the past three years
- Reside in the state of Texas
- Hold a bachelor's degree
- Comply with the ethical obligations under §SBEC 230.21 (g) including, but not limited to:
- An educator, candidate, or other test taker shall not:
- solicit information about the contents of test items on an examination that the educator, candidate, or other test taker has not already taken from an individual who has had access to those items, or offer information about the contents of specific test items on an examination to individuals who have not yet taken the examination; or
- otherwise engage in conduct that amounts to violations of test security or confidentiality integrity, including cheating, deception, or fraud.
- Agree to NOT:
- use training/experience as a scorer to receive compensation for any work in test preparation related to this assessment
- take the English Language Arts and Reading 7–12 exam within 180 days of scoring
AND
Must meet one of the following:
- Be a PK–12 teacher who holds a valid and current teaching certificate in the state of Texas to teach in English Language Arts and Reading 7–12
- Be an EPP faculty member of a program, approved by the state of Texas, that offers English Language Arts and Reading programs
- Be an EPP faculty member teaching courses, approved by the state of Texas, for English Language Arts and Reading certification
- Be a National Board Certified Teacher in one of the following:
- Adolescence and Young Adulthood (Ages 14–18+)/English Language Arts

- Be an educator who has scored the English Language Arts and Reading 7–12 exam within the past 3 years

Science of Teaching Reading Requirements
Applicants must meet all of the following:
- Have at least three years of experience teaching Reading in the state of Texas
- Have taught Reading related courses in a state of Texas classroom within the past three years
- Reside in the state of Texas

- Comply with the ethical obligations under §SBEC 230.21 (g) including, but not limited to:
- An educator, candidate, or other test taker shall not:

TX PACT: Speech 7–12 Requirements
Applicants must meet all of the following:
- Have at least three years of experience teaching in Speech in the state of Texas
- Have taught Speech related courses in a state of Texas classroom within the past three years
- Reside in the state of Texas
- Hold a bachelor's degree
- Comply with the ethical obligations under §SBEC 230.21 (g) including, but not limited to:
- An educator, candidate, or other test taker shall not:
- solicit information about the contents of test items on an examination that the educator, candidate, or other test taker has not already taken from an individual who has had access to those items, or offer information about the contents of specific test items on an examination to individuals who have not yet taken the examination; or
- otherwise engage in conduct that amounts to violations of test security or confidentiality integrity, including cheating, deception, or fraud.

- Be a PK–12 teacher who holds a valid and current teaching certificate in the state of Texas to teach in Speech related courses grades 7–12
- Be an EPP faculty member of a program, approved by the state of Texas, that offers Speech programs
- Be an EPP faculty member teaching courses, approved by the state of Texas, for Speech certification
- Be an educator who has scored the TX PACT: Speech 7–12 exam within the past 3 years

TASC and TASC–ASL Requirements
Applicants must meet all of the following:
- Have demonstrated experience with, and proficiency in, sign communication
- Have a minimum of three years of experience in the education of the deaf and hard of hearing or ASL instruction
- Reside in the state of Texas
- Comply with the ethical obligations under §SBEC 230.21 (g) including, but not limited to:
- An educator, candidate, or other test taker shall not:
- solicit information about the contents of test items on an examination that the educator, candidate, or other test taker has not already taken from an individual who has had access to those items, or offer information about the contents of specific test items on an examination to individuals who have not yet taken the examination; or
- otherwise engage in conduct that amounts to violations of test security or confidentiality integrity, including cheating, deception, or fraud.
- Agree to NOT:

Principal as Instructional Leader Requirements
Applicants must meet all of the following:
- Have at least three years of experience as a principal, vice principal, assistant principal, director, superintendent, assistant superintendent, or other district administrator role in the state of Texas
- Have worked as a principal, vice principal, assistant principal, director, superintendent, assistant superintendent, or other district administrator within the last three years in the state of Texas
- Reside in the state of Texas
- Hold a master's degree
- Comply with the ethical obligations under §SBEC 230.21 (g) including, but not limited to:
- An educator, candidate, or other test taker shall not:
- solicit information about the contents of test items on an examination that the educator, candidate, or other test taker has not already taken from an individual who has had access to those items, or offer information about the contents of specific test items on an examination to individuals who have not yet taken the examination; or
- otherwise engage in conduct that amounts to violations of test security or confidentiality integrity, including cheating, deception, or fraud.
- Agree to NOT:
- Use training/experience as a scorer to receive compensation for any work in test preparation related to this assessment
- Take the exam you are scoring within 180 days of scoring
AND
Must meet one of the following:
- Hold a valid and current certificate or license as a K–12 school principal or equivalent (e.g., principal, mid-management)
- Be an EPP faculty member of a program, approved by the state of Texas, that offers Principal as Instructional Leader program(s)
- Be a school administrator who has retired within the last three years and who held a certificate or license for that position

TX PACT: American Sign Language (ASL) Requirements
Applicants must meet all of the following:
- Have demonstrated experience with, and proficiency in, sign communication

- Reside in the state of Texas
- Hold a bachelor's degree

- Received a passing score on the National Occupational Competency Testing Institute (NOCTI)
