Score Reporting Policies

Your exam results are reported to you, TEA, and your educator preparation program (if applicable). Your score report is for your information only; there is no need to send it to TEA or your EPP. Under no circumstances will Pearson or TEA release your score information by phone, by fax, or in person.

Paper score reports are not mailed. It is suggested that you save a copy of your score report for your permanent records.

At the completion of your exam you will have the option of either reporting or canceling your scores for that exam session.

If you choose to have your scores canceled, they will not be reported. You will not be eligible for a refund or credit of any kind. This exam session will not count as an attempt, and you must wait at least 30 days to take the exam again. Canceled scores cannot be reinstated.

If you choose to have your scores reported, they will become part of your record and will be reported to you, TEA, and your EPP (if applicable). This exam will be counted as an attempt. Reported scores cannot be canceled at a later date. You must wait at least 30 days to test again.

Pearson takes reasonable security precautions in developing and administering the Texas Educator Certification Examination Program and in processing exam scores. The TEA and Pearson reserve the right to void your scores if, in their sole opinion, there is adequate reason to question your scores' validity or legitimacy, due to misconduct (including, but not limited to, a violation of the rules set forth on this website, including the Rules of Test Participation for the Texas Educator Certification Examination Program, and the rules communicated to you, orally or in writing, at the exam administration) or to circumstances within or beyond your control.

Further action may be taken, including denying, revoking and/or suspending a teaching credential or certificate. Other actions, as described in the Rules of Test Participation for the Texas Educator Certification Examination Program, may be taken as deemed appropriate by TEA and/or Pearson.
